When the homeless are faced with the nightly challenge of staying warm and dry, using items that cannot provide the consistent reliable performance needed for quality sleep only creates a steeper hill to climb.

The most common item distributed by shelters for providing warmth is a standard Army Issue wool blanket. Although wool has many positive performance attributes, wool blankets are heavy and bulky. They do not provide a complete thermal envelope. When conditions are wet and temperatures are low, wool gets extremely heavy and freezes.

With the purchase of a Sporting Bivy, we will donate an Urban Bivy to a shelter in need.
